Rainbow Fairy Lights

So I've decided that our household will be celebrating Christmas this year rainbow style!  The more colourful the better!  And this is my first project...
I found this idea on http://www.pinterest.com/, originally from Whitney Caroline Designs - see it here

I've had a bag of fabric swatches from work sitting in the waiting-for-a-good-project pile for a while now.   This is just what it's been waiting for.   I found an old string of regular Christmas fairy lights in the loft.
It's just strips of fabric - approx 2cm by 12cm each - tied in knots along the line of lights.   I found it easiest to do one colour at a time and fill in the gaps as you go.   I'm so pleased with the results - It looks so pretty!!
