What a fabulous day!   Below are the photos from a baby shower I hosted this weekend for my lovely cousin, Amber.  A jungle theme ran through the decor but the colours were the most important thing - the brighter the better!   Amber is keeping her nursery and baby boy's wardrobe cheerful and happy with bright colours!

I made the bunting with coloured card, it spelt out Baby Bloomfield. The pinwheels are made with origami paper and skewer sticks with a buttom in the centre of each.  I used plastic cutlery and paper plates to cut down on washhing up - the cutlery was rolled in colourful napkins and card napkin rings.  Shot glasses of jelly beans and smarties were the ideal pass around after a savoury lunch and before we hit the sweet table.  The bottled water had labels in the same pinstripe that ran through the decor.  Brightly coloured tulips and multicoloured balloons finished off the whole look. So pretty!!

I made these little 'building blocks' for table decor but I knew we had over catered on the sweet stuff and they made perfect cupcake takeaway boxes.

I made these beaded sugar/jam spoons as favours so the guests had something to take home with them.

I asked each guest to decorate a 'onesie' for our clothesline and what an effort they made - they were absolutely beautiful! Strung across the window with the London skyline in the background, Stunning!

My sister-in-law made this AMAZING multi-coloured layered cake covered in rainbow sprinkles.  What a clever girl - definitely a highlight of the day!

The dad-to-be's sister made these GORGEOUS cupcakes decorated in the jungle theme.  So pretty and extremely tasty!

I got this very clever idea for the popcorn box from the Scissors & Spatula's blog, via Bump Smitten - see the original post here.  I'm a huge fan of popcorn, we even had a popcorn machine during the drinks reception at our wedding.  In this case it was passed around all afternoon - there's always room for popcorn!

We asked each lady to bring a plate of snacks - we stuck to the bright colours for the sweet table.  Someone made these gorgeous strawberries dipped in melted chocolate and sprinkles.

Another 'artwork' was the delicious rainbow fruit skewers.

What a fantastic day!  I'm so excited that it all came together so nicely - thanks to all the lovely ladies that helped out!  xx
