First Anniversary Paper Chain

It's hard to believe that Hubby and I have been married for a year already!   In keeping with the first anniversary being 'paper', I made him a paper chain with photos of the two of us.

I just saved a load of photos from our Facebook profiles - usually the quality is not perfect from Facebook but for this project it was perfect.  When you print from Windows Photo Gallery (and other programs I'm sure) you have the option of printing in 'contact sheet' format.  This prints 35 stamp sized images onto an A4 page.   I then used a guillotine to cut the photos into strips width ways.  This is the perfect length to make the rings.

I used sticky tape to attach the ends and then fishing line to attach it to our dining room table lamp (above our romantic anniversary dinner!)

You can see pics from our wedding here.

  1. I love this! What a fun idea. I'm going to do something similar but with a twist. (I've been married 17 years... not quite the same.) Thanks for the great idea!
