Elephant Chair

This is a project that I started ages ago, as you can probably tell from the summery photo's. It all started when my neighbour gave me a little blue elephant chair she no longer had space for.

It's a lovely piece in itself, but Miss D prefers pink (a lot) so it fell to me to fix this. I decided to paint it white with pink details and used a lovely stencil to add some details to the elephant...just to make it less boring.

I couldn't find any nice pink fabric to make a little cushion so we settled for this pale blue with pink cupcakes. Miss D loves cupcakes. I used an old pillow to make the cushion, I just cut it off at the length I wanted and sewed up the open side. It's been a while since I used a sewing machine, but I think I did an ok job. Miss D loves her cushion so much she took it to bed with her and flung her regular pink pillow on the floor :)
