Cancer Council Ladies Night In

October is Breast Cancer awareness month and Cancer Council asks ladies to host a gathering like a Girls' Night In or Morning Tea to raise awareness and some much needed dosh to go towards research!

This lovely lady hosted a Girls' Night In at her house and invited a bunch of ladies to drink wine, eat pizza and devour ice cream sundaes!  What more does a girl need?!  She wanted to make it special for the ladies... enter Loryn Loves.

We styled a very pretty in pink dessert table to display all the sweet stuff.  Decorated Tim Tams and boob shaped cookie favours, along with all the ice cream sundae toppings... sprinkles, marshmallows, popping candy and fresh strawberries.  A drink dispenser added some pretty but meant the girls could keep their glass milk bottles filled with Pimms, leaving the host free to mingle!

Our backdrop was a simple garland made with fabric scraps and the tablecloth was pink fabric with a lace overlay.  The hostess provided the stunning fresh flowers.  As this party was for a charity I wanted to keep the details as cheap as possible so not to defeat the whole point of the night.  And I'm happy to say that Loryn Loves did not charge for the styling of this party, all available and extra cash went to Cancer Council.  And the girls all had a fabulous night and donated very generously!

If you're thinking of hosting your own Cancer Council get together, stop thinking and just do it.  It's for a fabulous cause of course and a great excuse for a girly get together.  You can read more about hosting your own event here.
