2014 - Our Best Bits!

2014 was the year that Loryn Loves came back to life.  After a busy period of moving country while preggers, having a baby, moving house and having loads of overseas visitors, I was able to relaunch Loryn Loves in August.  And it's been so much fun!

As you know, the Loryn Loves blog has always been a creative outlet for me, showing off my DIY projects, baking escapades and my love affair with Pinterest.  But I needed it to start making some money so I could continue to be a play at home mamma... In such a short time our little blog has expanded to new and exciting things...

Hire...

Loryn Loves now has a gorgeous collection of lovingly sourced vintage tea china for hire, as well as all things party, including lolly jars, platters, baskets, milk jars, champagne flutes, drink dispensers, bunting and much more for hire.

Shop...

We have also started a shop for the finer party details like paper straws, goody bags and gift tags.  We are in the process of stocking our Etsy shop so keep an eye on it for new products.

Style...

And the part I love the most is the styling... I've done a few parties this year which you can see here... I'm in love with this part of my job; I get to be creative, do masses of Pinterest research and sourcing to come up with unique and absolutely beautiful ideas for special customers.

Workshops...

We've also held a couple of cupcake decorating workshops which were a hit in London and are just as popular here.  You can see some more info here.

Social Media...

And as well as all of this I try to keep the blog updated and interesting.    Our social media is also taking off and we have very exciting Facebook, Pinterest and Instagram accounts.  As any small business does, we rely heavily on our fans and followers to hit the like button, comment on posts and to share, share, share.  Without you guys we can't do what we do!

Although I am just a one man band of little old me, I often refer to Loryn Loves as a 'we'.  The 'we' I talk of is my hubs and I.  Although he doesn't get involved in the creative side of things, there is no way on earth that I could do any of this without his ongoing support and patience and nannying skills.  He is my business adviser, logistics manager, calmer downer and biggest fan.  And of course he hangs out with Miss Ivy Beth so I can be at parties or get some admin done.

Hello 2015...

So for 2015 we're expecting big things.  We want to do more parties, get more beautiful hire stock, fill our Etsy shop with gorgeous things and host more exciting workshops where you get to be creative.

And the most exciting news of all is that we are going to be working with a really fabulous group of people called The Phoebe Foundation.  One of the amazing things this foundation does is collect and create art & craft packs for children staying at Melbourne's Royal Children's Hospital.  Please please go to their Facebook page and read more about the awesome work Julia and her team does.  You can help by donating or buying a craft pack to make someone's day!  We are very excited to be contributing with our pom pom gift tags.  And hopefully more than that in the future.

Thank you for your continued support for my little business.  I hope you will stick around to see what we get up to.
