Christmas Cookie Swap

The first I heard of a cookie swap was when I was living in the States.  I was 18 and an Au Pair at the time and not into baking at all.  But my host mother was great in the kitchen and she went mad at Christmas time, baking cookies for anyone who would have them!   She even had a stash of beautiful tins to store them in.

Flash forward sixteen or so years and I hosted my very own cookie swap.  A group of friends each arrived with a tin full of home baked goodies.  We drank lots of tea and swapped any biscuits that were left after our taste tests...

Anzac Biscuits, Gingerbread Christmas Trees, Melting Moments, Mars Bar Cookies & Snowflake Sugar Cookies

Have your guests bring a box of homemade cookies and swap with others so each person goes home with a tin of mixed cookies to share with family and friends over the holiday season.

This is a really quick and easy get together to organise and there's still time before Christmas arrives.  Any excuse for a girly catch up, right?!
