A Tutus & Teacups Party

This last weekend was super busy with two parties, and one of those was for a gorgeous two year old girl, Isabella.  Her mamma chose the theme and wanted girly and pink and pretty!  And that's just what she got!

Vintage wooden crates held the cake, on a tutu wearing stand, and a backdrop of mini balloons, some covered in tulle.  Pink & white filled lolly jars were surrounded by vintage tea cups and fresh flowers.

The balloon bouquet, including the most gorgeous ballerina, adorned the savoury table where guests dined on mini bruschetta, homemade sausage rolls and more.

Sweet stuff on offer included a variety of chocolates, iced cookies, meringues, cake pops and stacked pink cakes... topped with details like the tutu pom poms and tulle bows.

And, OH, the cake...  One of my favourites to date...  A vanilla sponge with pink Chantilly cream, inspired by Katherine Sabbath, with a Persian cotton candy 'tutu', chocolate shards and crushed meringues...
