A Pink, Red & Gold Princess Party

Part of my job is party styling...  I work with customers, their theme ideas and their budget to create a gorgeous dessert table or event.  This takes the pressure off the party host who can arrive at the party looking fab and ready to mingle, without having to have done all the hard work.  My service includes a brainstorm meeting, research and liaising with suppliers, logistics and delivery pick ups and set up on the day.
Usually I can do all the baking and making of the sweet treats but I had too many on this weekend to be able to commit for this party as well.  So for this job I used some amazing local bakers and small businesses that I've listed at the bottom of this post.

The party mamma's request was for pink and gold and touches of red.  She liked the idea of a bit of sparkle and nothing too rustic.  She had a few items she wanted to incorporate into the decor, including the gold crown, the coloured baubles and the glass cupcake stand.

We made a back drop with a wooden frame and black and white photographs of the birthday girl - one from every month of her first year.  A gorgeous sequin (but not too bling) gold tablecloth and plenty of gorgeous red and pink fresh flowers.

The two tier red velvet semi naked cake was the star of the show and was surrounded by cupcakes, macarons and lolly jars filled with colour coordinated treats.

Unfortunately the lighting and backdrop of cars and chairs didn't make for amazing photos but hopefully you can get a feel for just how gorgeous this set up was!
